How often should HVAC systems in the Phoenix Valley be serviced?

Twice a year is the gold standard for Phoenix Valley homes — a spring tune-up before the cooling season (March–April) and a fall check before any heating need (October–November). Phoenix's extreme cooling load means even small issues compound fast; a tune-up often catches a much bigger future failure.

What's included in a Viking HVAC maintenance plan?

Standard plan includes: spring AC tune-up (clean coils, check refrigerant, test capacitors, inspect electrical, calibrate thermostat), fall heating check (combustion analysis or heat pump performance test, blower inspection, igniter check), filter changes, drain line clearing, and priority scheduling for any in-season service calls. Plan members also get a discount on any repair work.

How much does a maintenance plan cost?

Plan pricing depends on tier and system count. The math usually works out heavily in your favor — a single avoided repair pays for several years of plan coverage, plus the system runs more efficiently (lower utility bills) and lasts longer. Call (480) 689-5167 for current plan options.

Will preventative maintenance really extend my system's life?

Yes — and meaningfully. Manufacturer data and HVAC industry studies consistently show maintained systems last 5–7 years longer than neglected ones. In the Phoenix Valley, where cooling systems get hammered annually, that gap often translates to one full equipment replacement avoided over a homeowner's tenure.

Can I sign up for a maintenance plan if my system is older?

Yes — older systems often benefit most. We do an initial inspection to baseline the system's condition and may flag known wear items, but otherwise older systems are eligible. The maintenance plan extends remaining useful life and prevents preventable failures.

Better Air Conditioner Efficiency

Well maintained HVAC systems will run efficiently at cooling or heating your space. Without proper maintenance, your HVAC system could fail when asked to run in heating or cooling during the harshest weather conditions, leaving you needing a heating or ac repair at the most inconvenient time.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Logan Bridge did a fantastic job! I’ve partnered with Viking Heating and Air for several years and have never had a negative experience. Their technicians are highly experienced, professional, and consistently provide excellent service. One thing I especially appreciate is their honesty - they always recommend repairs before replacements whenever possible, and never try to upsell unnecessary equipment or services. It is rare to find a company that combines expertise with integrity the way Viking does. I confidently refer them to colleagues in the business every chance I get.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Scott is by far the most thorough and complete technician we have had since working with Viking! All of the technicians have been great, but Scott took customer service and attention to detail to a complete other level! My house was not cooling off in. He took the time to really diagnose what was going on and found the problem. I have to get regularly scheduled inspections on the new unit and I hope they send Scott out every time not only was he thorough in his diagnosis but he explained to me in detail what was going on and I truly appreciated that. Kelly and Nikki you got a great Technician in Scott. Thank you to the whole team at Viking for being so attentive and being a pleasure to work with!
